Course Information
Gain the confidence to handle any workplace emergency with our five-day RLSS Lifeguard course — the UK’s leading and most comprehensive Lifeguarding qualification. Meeting all requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, this course gives you the expertise and practical experience to respond effectively in all different risk settings.

Once qualified, the lifeguard qualification will require 20 hours over 2 years to requalify as a lifeguard, then all you will need is an assessment.

We have an 25m pool to train the in water practical elements in, a large library to train the out of water practical elements in, to also learn the theory in, and have plenty of snacks on the course. The venue is Birkenhead High School Academy for Girls (BHSA) on the Wirral.

We include addition training for an extra Automated External Defibrillator (AED) qualification, a management of Anaphylaxis Qualification, and a Management of Life Threatening Bleeding Qualification, at no extra charge.
Course Requirements:
Physically fit to perform practical elements
No prior lifeguarding knowledge
16 years old or older
Comfortable clothing and swimwear
Lunch per day

Able swim 2 lengths within a minute
4 Lengths on your front and 4 lengths on your back
Certificate Valid for 2 years
5 Days long
Assessment is practical and a Question Paper at the end
